The S&P/TSX Composite index rose about 0.3% to surpass the 33,700 level for the first time on Friday, heading for weekly gains of more than 1.7%, after the US Supreme Court overturned President Trump’s global tariffs.
The ruling triggered a surge in trade-related sectors, with Shopify shares jumping nearly 5% and Constellation Software shares adding more than 4%.
