Deutsche Bank: Gold could reach $6,000 this year amid declining confidence in US assets

Deutsche Bank expects gold prices to rise to $6,000 an ounce this year, as investors continue to diversify their portfolios away from US assets amid rising global economic and geopolitical uncertainty.

Analysts at the German bank said in a note reported by Reuters that there are alternative scenarios that could push gold prices to higher levels, noting that an ounce reaching around $6,900 might be more consistent with the strong performance the yellow metal has seen over the past two years.
